start playing again! At school, I'm on the Cross-Country
and Tennis Team.

Shows: SMALLVILLE!!! Anyone seen Beyond Belief?
That show's awesome. Malcolm in the Middle and The

Making the Video, and music videos. VH1's Behind the

Adidas is really great.

Ok,
let's have some fun with this:
If I was a superhero, who
would I be?
Superman!!! Ok, the Ninja Turtles are great too, but that
was when I was a kid!
If I
had any superpower what would it be?
To fly! I've always wanted to fly all my life! I
used to just jump up, hoping that I'd suddenly take off!
I'll figure out how to fly some day. And not how everyone
else did it with the airplanes, gliders, and stuff!
What
is my greatest fear?
No, not SATs. Not not getting into college. Not the dark,
I've gotten used to that, haha. Blood makes me cringe,
but that still isn't it. Clowns were my fear when I was
younger. Ughh, hecka scary. Guessed it yet? Being alone.
Yeah, it's scary cause you're out on your own, and you
have no one to turn to. Just tears you down. But hey,
God's always there! Booyah!
What
am I most insecure about?
Well, being a guitar player and songwriter, you'd be
surprised that it's my voice. Yeah, I sound hecka weird
through a mic or recorder! It always comes out different
through your own ears! That's why.
What
color am I going to dye my hair in college?
Brown? Heck no. That's like the Asian trend
nowadays, lol. I'm gonna be one of the rare, blue-haired
Asians. Yup, blue.
What
is the most daring thing I've done in my life?
Running for Junior Class President, I went up on
stage in front of the whole class (about 288 students)
and sang "The Wong Song". That is, my version
of "The Thong Song".
What
is one of my dreams in the future?
To be one of the first Chinese leaders of a rock band
that makes it to the American charts. Yup, the first
Asian rocker on MTV/VH1. Who would've thought? But I bet
you someone else is gonna make it before me. We'll see:)
When
and how did I become a Christian???
I became one in 8th grade, the year I moved to
the US. There, I attended a Christian school, Christian
Community School. My sister became a Christian in college
so I got curious. It was around playoffs in the baseball
season so one morning, the vice-principal told a story
about angels being in a ballpark celebrating with their
believers as a team. I decided to join that team.
What
do I often dream about when I go out?
Everytime I go out somewhere like to an arena,
stadium, fair, or just anywhere in public, I always get
into dream mode, picturing me and my future band having a
concert there. Haha. Kinda stupid, but wow, that's hecka
cool being like, "Dang, me, up there...people
recognizing me and cheering the band on...our music being
heard in public! Ooooo." I dunno, it's cool
imagining where you're gonna be 20 years from now.
What
is my pet peeve?
People who complain, in
general. Yup, people who just complain. Like, how would
you feel if you worked all hard on something and then
someone looks at it and says all this crap about it? No
"Good Job" or anything. That's just messed up.
What is my
short-term goal right now?
To get a six-pack. No, not beer or soda or
anything, lol. The chest-type. I've got 4 out of 6 right
now. Booyah! 2 more to go! Man, those things are tite!
What do I
write most of my songs about?
A lot of my songs are on the popular topic of
love. And no, it's not the cheesy, mushy stuff most of
the time. It's about realizing that you have to sometimes
just accept the fact that you're not gonna get your dream
crush and things just don't always turn out as planned.
It's about how love can sometimes destroy your life and
hope, and how it can totally control your identity and
your actions. A lot of teens go through this situation
and unfortunately there ends up to be a lot of
disappointments and struggles. The media continues to
show the stupid "love at first sight" episode
which is completely untrue in the real world and makes it
seem so simple. Yeah, so I try to escape from this
"crush" issue through my songs. Helps too. You
learn things from yourself sometimes and yeah, I've
learnt a whole lot through writing and music. Sometimes
you just gotta let go; that's one thing I've found
through my work.
A few songs on this
topic include: Fallen, Besides All This, Faded Picture,
Sanity
